How long does my hair need to be for waxing or sugaring?
If this is your first time I recommend that all of your hair be at least 1/4 inch (about a grain of rice) long to come out but no longer than one inch long for the best possible results. For waxing this is usually about 10 to 14 days worth of growth after shaving or 4 to 6 weeks growth after waxing. For sugaring this is usually about 7-10 days of growth after shaving or 3 to 5 weeks after sugaring.
Should I do anything special to prepare for my service?
I recommend gently exfoliating every other day leading up to your service and especially the night before for best results. I do NOT recommend taking an Ibuprofen before your service as this can add an unnecessary risk of bruising. You should avoid any sun exposure (indoor or outdoor tanning) for 48 hours before or after waxing.
What is the difference between a Brazilian and Sphinx Wax?
There are so many definitions of what a Brazilian Wax is. Traditionally a Brazilian is a very narrow bikini wax that includes removal of hair from the labia and G string area, but usually leaves a triangle or landing strip at the pubic bone. At KB Organic Skin Care and Waxing a Sphinx is when everything taken off from front to back.
